my name is jenny christofferson.

I can work with you as

• an EFL teacher to help you with grammar, sentence structure and vocabulary

• an accent coach to improve your pronunciation, voice quality and language flow

• a consultant to help you craft effective messages and present powerful ideas

I am based in the West Coast of the United States but I work with people from across the country and world. I am a certified English language coach, with a certificate in TEFL – Teaching English as a Foreign Language – and specific training in teaching pronunciation.

But what gives my teaching greater depth is a strong background in connected topics of Communication, Psychology, and Culture.

• I have experience with conflict resolution and facilitation.

• I can teach voice and public speaking skills – having taught drama, movement, and music to adults and children for 15+ years.

• I understand the psychology of learning and the importance of women speaking in a relaxed and comfortable way. I have studied Gestalt psychology at the Cleveland Gestalt Institute.  

• I am aware of cultural issues in communication, especially for professionals in the United States. My undergraduate degree in Women’s Studies focused on the sociology of communication.
